Theory on why the White House is in full blown hysterics.
From Bill Moyers NOW...

Now, keep in mind, these date back to the spring of 2001, some six months before 9/11, two years before the war with Iraq. Among them are a map of Iraq's oil fields and pipelines, and lists of foreign companies — the documents call them "suitors" — interested in developing Iraq's oil industry. These documents raise more questions than they answer, they don't tell us, for example, why the Vice President and private energy executives would be so curious at that time about those Iraqi oil fields, and why they would fight so hard in the meantime to keep their curiosity secret.

Remember, Karl Rove participated in the meetings as well, while he held Enron stock.

The Supremes are about to hand down a decision on those records. If the vote goes against the W.H. even with Scalia on board, and you combine that with a credible Dick Clarke, you have dynamite. Can you picture what the democrats could do with ads showing Dick Clarke demanding principals meetings, then contrasted with documents showing that the Iraqi oil fields have been divided up by Enron and the like? They need to make Dick Clarke evil before that potentially happens. They are hysterical. They aren't overreacting. They are putting on a brave face while knowing that a non compliant Justice Kennedy or Sandra Day O'Connor can literally destroy them.

Combine a credible critic who claims that Osama was ignored, who also states that the W.H. was obsessed on Saddam, add in Enron, Karl Rove, Iraqi oilfield maps, and what do you think the result will be? Can you picture a campaign ad of Clarke's memo from January 24th asking for a principals meeting on Iraq, combined with a picture of the oil charts would do? It would literally be the Goldwater Daisy ad of today. Lethal.

Now it is the right that cannot hold. :-)

Bush is self destructing, and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it. With every sliver of truth that gets out, my heart lifts a little.

4. This is EXACTLY what needs to be opened up ...
Condie and Bushie NEED to be put in their place ...

DIRECTLY refuting their recent statements, which is CERTAINLY possible with documentary evidence, would reveals their lies for all to see ...

We (actually the media) MUST get proof of the pipeline negotiations with the Taliban; proof that the Bush WH focused more on an economic deal than they focused on domestic antiterrorism ...

Condie and Bushie are REELING right now, like punch drunk ballet dancers ... evidence that exposes their dealings with the Taliban regarding the pipeline in early 2001 would sink them ...

I would guess that one source of that evidence would be the Energy Task Force documents. Another source would be FBI notes or documents derived from John O'Neill's office ...

Did he report to his boss ? ... Surely his office received his field reports regarding Bush team efforts to stifle FBI (and O'Neill's) anti-terrorist operations against the Al Qaeda and Taliban ...

Where is deep throat when you need him ? ...

Is there ANYONE with access to these most precious documents that has an IOTA of patriotism ?? ...

5. Who leaked on Plame?
I mean the good leaker, who talked to the Washington Post.

Perhaps this person will have an extra dose of conscience. Oil is the key here. Enron, Halliburton, Cheney, Bush, Carlyle, Taliban, Iraq, oil.

7. Plame Case
This may be the key that opens the door to the inner sanctum.
The perps may sing a dire song. We cannot depend on the SC to do the right thing re: The Energy Meeting. Hmm..do the judges get to read the transcripts of the meeting?

11. But the press already has that proof. They won't play it.
They know about it all. Many of us here have sent them the articles over the years. The press needs to be frightened enough to feel that they may be tried for treason for their complicity, perhaps then they will publish what they already know.

12. Expect a ton of pardons
If/When Kerry wins, Bush is going to be asked to fall on the sword, and pretty much pardon the whole lot of them. Karl Rove will be first in line.
