Anyone have any proof that some of the hijackers trained at military
bases. I have seen this allegation from time to time, but haven't seen any proof. If this is true, seems as if we have mihop, rather than lihop.

Anyone have any links?

1. Pentagon won't let anyone prove it
How would that prove MIHOP, any way? We've trained lots of terrorists in this country. They're usually not supposed to attack US though. Here's something from an old http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=125&topic_id=7263">thread

"Three of the men identified as the hijackers in the attacks on Tuesday have the same names as alumni of American military schools, the authorities said today. The men were identified as Mohamed Atta, Abdulaziz al-Omari and Saeed al-Ghamdi.

"The Defense Department said Mr. Atta had gone to the International Officers School at Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama; Mr. al-Omari to the Aerospace Medical School at Brooks Air Force Base in Texas; and Mr. al-Ghamdi to the Defense Language Institute at the Presidio in Monterey, Calif."

The Knight Ridder news service also reported that Saeed Alghamdi had been to the Defense Language Institute in Monterey and the Associated Press cited Air Force sources indicating that more than one of the hijackers may have received language training at the installation. The media dropped the story after the Air Force officials issued a cursory statement aimed at preventing any further inquiry into links between the US military and the terrorists. While acknowledging that some of the suspected terrorists "had similar names to foreign alumni of U.S. military courses," the statement said discrepancies in biographical information, such as birth dates and name spellings, "indicate we are probably not talking about the same people." Without providing any substantiation, the statement suggested the hijackers may have stolen the identities of foreign military personnel who received training at the bases.

Following this less than convincing explanation, the Air Force refused to release the ages, countries of origin or any other information about the individuals whose names matched those of the alleged hijackersÑmaking it virtually impossible to verify the claim that these were not the same individuals.

5. here you go:
From "Some hijackers may have resided or trained at U.S. military installations":

iii Saeed Alghamdi.

(A) The address on his driver's license was 10 Radford Blvd. on Pensacola NAS, “a base road on which residences for foreign- military flight trainees are located.” The Pensacola base is known as the ‘Cradle of U.S. Navy Aviation,’ according to a high-ranking U.S. Navy source who was interviewed by Newsweek magazine.

(B) Someone with the name “Saeed Alghamdi” attended the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California.

...

v Mohammed Atta.

(A) Air Force spokesman Col. Ken McClellan said soon after the attacks that a man whose name was Mohamed Atta had attended the International Officer's School at Maxwell/Gunter Air Force Base in Montgomery, Ala.

vi Abdulaziz Alomari

(A) A man with the name Abdulaziz Alomari attended Brooks Air Force Base Aerospace Medical School in San Antonio, Texas. Abdulaziz Alomari was reportedly a former Saudi Arabian pilot.

Some other links, including the official fuzzy, semi-denial:

Similar uncertainties, according to the Department of Defense, continue to surround the possible association of hijackers with training programs for foreign military officers at U.S. military installations around the country. Although the Defense Department has acknowledged that people with the same names as those attributed to hijackers were associated with such programs at bases in Florida, Alabama and Texas, a spokeswoman said yesterday they weren't sure whether those individuals were in fact hijackers.

7. Does CIA count?
Read Daniel Hopsicker. The guy's chronicled Attah and Co.s training in Florida. The place is thick with CIA and dope-runners and terrorists.

8. Good links but
you still have the problem that several of those people turned up ALIVE after 9:11 and rather annoyed at the FBI which to this very day, refuses to meet with them. Then the so-called pilot-trainer,
Lotfi Raissi was set free because nobody could come up with any evidence of any wrongdoing.

Furthermore, the planes that were allegedly used in the attacks all appear to have survived September 11, 2001.
The two American Airlines planes were reported to the FAA as having been destroyed on January 14, 2002. Therefore, their registration was cancelled since that was the day (not 9:11) upon which both AA planes ceased to be able to fly.
Indeed, Flight 11 and Flight 77 which are the American Airlines planes, were NOT scheduled to fly on September 11 and there is no indication that they did so. That is, if one looks at the airport logs and the information that the airline submitted to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics.

As for the two United Airlines planes, they are both currently registered by the FAA and and therefore are legally able to fly in US airspace.
When it comes to Flight 175 and Flight 93, which are the two United Airlines planes, the airport and airline info indicates that both these flights were diverted.
http://www.thewebfairy.com/911/noplane/holmgren.htm

Nobody wants to discuss this.
But the facts are there, plain to see on the FAA website and the BTS website.

Furthermore, if one goes to the FAA airman registry and looks up the pilots and copilots one finds even more troubling information. For example, David Charlebois, copilot of Flight 77 was flying on an expired medical certificate. This is SO VERY WRONG as to be practically impossible. We are told that Charles Frank Burlingame III had been flying for AA for about 20 years and yet the FAA tells us that his both of his certificates were issued on 9/11/1996. Many of the pilots, despite the fact that they were trained by, and flew missions for the US military, have restrictions on their flying credentials because of their poor vision.

By the time one gets to the Social Security Death Index, one is apprehensive. Only three of the pilots are listed as dead. And the victims both on and off the planes appear to either have remained alive or to have been resurrected. Type in Todd Beamer if you want to fully understand that last comment.
http://ssdi.genealogy.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/ssdi.cgi/

Yet and still NONE of this readily available information is up for consideration. None of it is relevant to struggle between the powers that be and the powers that wannabe.

And so, it hardly matters where or when those Arabs trained at those military instillations. Unless of course, one believes that al qaeda is behind all the discrepancies in the information provided by all these federal agencies.
