It would be interesting to see this unfold, but I have no idea HOW it would unfold.

part. And I see no way it could backfire. Bushco would never pursue a prosecution because it would lead to untold media coverage and bring even more facts to the surface that Bushco wants subverted.

4. Bush* can't take up the challenge

Politically, it's a short term loser for him even if (and I don't believe it) but even if he could prove it in court. By the time it actually came to trial, the election would have come and gone.

Meanwhile having prosecuted the guy, Bush* would look desperate and heavy handed. He couldn't publicly produce enough evidence to back up the prosecution.

So, it's a not a problem for Kerry.

Plus, that's his wife.

Plus, Dems consider wives equals (or even betters!) in the relationship...it's not like he married Teresa (sp?) and the companies were given as a dowry.

Plus (whew!) she is an heiress, not really involved with the day-to-day dealings of the companies.

The jobs issue is a disaster for Bush. Too many people know someone who has lost a job and too many people have had their own job benefits cut.
