freeper ignorance strikes again
For some reason, i have a right wing ex marine loonie emailing me giving me his opinions waiting to see how i shoot them down.
The latest? He compares shrub to roosevelt!!!!!
HIs reason? why are we upset if bush invaded iraq when roosevelt attacked germany???
I had to explain to this freepus maximus that first of all uboats were already attacking american shipping and second that roosevelt only joined the war in europe after hitler declared war on USA.

1. I am guessing this is one of the people boycotting Taco Bell
because of the Spanish elections. He may come back to you saying that Al Queda declared war on us years ago. Of course, this has nothing to do with Iraq

2. Dealing with Freepers reminds me of this quote....
Never try to teach a pig to sing....it wastes your time and annoys the pig!

That Germany declared war on the United States following the United States' declaration of war on Japan.

It was a calculated risk by Hitler. Hitler hoped that in return, Japan would break its non-aggression pact with the Soviet Union. Thankfully, Japan didn't, or else WWII might have ended very differently.

4. You might want to...
try to get him to volunteer details about his "service".

Most former marines that I know are real big on being "former" marines, not "ex" marines. I had a battle with an "ex-marine" myself on another (nonpolitical) site that I strongly suspect never got closer to being a marine than perhaps once using a latrine.

This seems to be a favorite tactic of wrong wing idiots who think that it gives them greater credibility. I have never seen anyone claim to have been a cook, clerk or soda jerk. They always seen to have been "combat marines" or the like... yeah right.

5. My husband was a marine for 2 years but kept is in the back ground
He also worked hard to get it off his navy records as he said he never wished to go back in to that group. He always laughed and said never give a sailor a gun. He was always proud he had been trained under Chesty Puller, if that is how you spell his name.
