Should Sen Frist be censured?
In my opinion, this joke of a peoples representative should be brought up on the most serious of charges. There he was the other day on the floor of the Senate saying "Mr. Clarke has told two entirely different stories under oath". Now, I don't know about you, but that is about as close to saying someone committed perjury in front of the entire nation.

Later, to reporters, Mr Frist said, "I have no first hand knowledge that he lied, but you have to get him under oath twice to know for sure."

I would like to ask Mr Frist, what the hell is it? Did he "tell two different stories under oath" like you accused him of on the floor of the Senate?, or do you not know, like you told reporters?

The other thing that really pisses me off is the "complete and utter lack of concern" for National Security.

What the Repubs are saying is basically this. "This information is classified to protect National Security. However, if we can pick bits and pieces of it that either, support the pResident, or, discredit Clarke, they National Security be damned! Protecting the pResident is more important than protecting National Security."

How long do you think it would take for this unclassified material to make it to America's enemies? Apparently, that doesn't matter to Mr Frist.

I wish some republicans with integrity would step forward and squash these bugs. Calling Mr McCain, calling Mr Spectre, calling Ms Snowe..do you hear that? That's the call of your country. She really needs you right now.

Sorry about the long rant, but these folks are truly shameless.

1. Frist is a bush butt boy

he was installed by the WH following the trashing of Lott who did not sufficiently 'reach for toes' every time the bushies said: bend!

he is, the lowest of the low.

2. He should be lobotomized...
Fine though, he gave a million desperate "Clarke is a liar" folks their talking points for the weekend.

7. That's my point
He gets to have his cake and eat it too. Unless we make their lack of concern for National Security about this an issue.

He should not be able to call someone a liar on the Senate floor, and then back away from that. He accomplished what the GOP wanted. Put a bit of doubt in the minds of people.

Strange how they are not refuting any of the points of Mr Clarke's book, they are strictly in defense attorney mode when that attorney knows his client is guilty

8. I agree with you 100%
I think that some of the Kerry supporters in the House and Senate need to confront this head-on. I'd love to see a Ted K and/or Hilary C callhim to task on this. Very publicly, expose him for the dishonest unpatriotic turd that he is. I'm not sure how many d.u.ers have had an experience, be it in a human service agency or any other workplace, where you take unbelieveable crap for telling the truth. Clarke is having that experience to the most extreme extent possible. Have these republicans no sense of decency or at least of shame?
