"I'm a War President"
Edited on Sat Mar-27-04 06:39 PM by CatWoman
Truer words were never uttered by those smirk-contorted lips.

Now, just what exactly is a "war president"?

His choice of words bears pondering.

"War President" as in "War Mongering President"?

"War President" as in "The only war I can govern is by waging war"?

"War President" as in "Violence is fun"?

"War President" as in "Peace is for losers"?

10. And what is wrong with the postal service-
Don't you want the cheapest, safest, most accessible least invaded form of communication available? If they privatize it( which Bush intends to do) do you think UPS will deliver Kucinich flyers in a timely manner? how about "tips" our union rejected it and WON (we don't have to spy on you when we come in your yard to deliver your mail). course there won't be a union if they have their way-wave 800,000 family wage jobs good-by and trust a minimum wage worker with your jewelry and other precious packages!

4. as in he started the war
against a pathetically helpless starving third world nation.

and that's just Iraq.

I supported going after Al Qaida in Afghanistan but almost threw up when Bush reported the US has acheived "air superiority" over the Taliban. The Taliban had only three barely functional airplanes at the time.

6. he's a parrot president
rove told him that he needs to remind everyone that he's a war president.

so rather than acting like a wartime president and doing wartime presidenting things, he just parrots back, "i'm a war president".

he thinks, "this presidenting is easy. if things aren't going too good, just send some troops into harm's way and say, 'i'm a war president' and the approval rating goes up!"

7. as in it's his one issue
some candidates might say, "i want to be the education president".
in fact, i think shrub probably said that one. or maybe it was "i want to be the environmental president". naw, too many syllables.

"i'm a war president" that's easy to remember.

11. How dare you!
How dare you question the pRESIDENT when we are AT WAR! (gasp, snort)

You must be UNAMERICAN. Don't you know in a WAR you are supposed to be really scared, and thus blindly follow the WAR PRESIDENT? Think of yourselves as blind, helpless little sheep, barely even able to walk on your little wobbly sheep legs, and The MIGHTY W is the kindly shepherd, there to lead you off a cliff . . .

15. Did you see the letter in Time magazine??
It was about an op ed piece that compared Bush to Churchill as great war presidents. It said (I'm paraphrasing) that that's like saying that Secretariat and Mr. Ed are the same because they are both horses.

17. Yup he thought that would do it
telling the American people he is a
"war president" and I laughed when I saw him say it.

This guy is insane--he thinks if he says something, especially if it appeals to the gut, testosterone laden, primitive reptillain brain of the Joe sixpack mentality, that makes him a "leader" perfectly suited to bring this country to war and have troops under his command, when he himself was an AWOL member of a national guard.

It is all for show.

That he is lacking in all intellingence and the intelligence necessary to run this country as a "leader", is put aside and he is, without a doubt, really very stupid.

That he is a "clown" using his clowing activities to try to take away the fact that he knows virtually nothing about anything and could care less to even find out about it, has to say something about those who continue to support this idiot.

20. Great Letter in My Local Newspapter, Under 200 Words

*******QUOTE*****

More war from ‘war president’

To the editor:

President George W. Bush stated on the CBS news that he is a “war president.” Give him four more years and that is what you will get — more war.

He’s never known war personally and never will. His children will never know the human cost of war. But your children can and will.

Young men join the military with the promise of a college education in the future. Some join the National Guard and find they are guarding some other country’s borders or some rich man’s oil far from the U.S.A. Some get killed and the military brings them home in the midnight hour so newspapers don’t get pictures of the coffins.

Our President Bush has warned you. He is a war president. Remember this: If the only tool you have is a hammer, you will see every problem as a nail. In this case, it’s another four years of coffin nails.

The U.S.A. needs a change of leadership in both Congress and the White House. You all know what you have to do, so get registered and vote at election time.
