I got my letter to the editor published...
Edited on Sat Mar-27-04 06:42 PM by IMModerate
I wrote it last Sunday when there was a lot of buzz after Sixty Minutes had Clarke on. They published today (Saturday.)

http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/opinion/letters/sfl-brmail766mar27,0,4536141.story?coll=sfla-news-letters

The Sun-Semtinal is a Ft. Lauderdale paper. It's short, so I'll clip it here.

After hearing the interview with former White House terrorist adviser Richard Clarke on 60 Minutes, it seems clear that the 9-11 disasters could have been avoided if Al Gore had been allowed to assume the presidency he was elected to. Gore would not have ignored Clarke's warnings about al-Qaida, would not have demoted him from Cabinet to staff level, and would not have denied Clarke's reservations about terrorist links to Iraq.

I hope these revelations will open the eyes of those who cling to having an incompetent in the president's office just because he is of their party.

They called me to confirm authorship on Monday. Then I heard nothing. My neighbor called to tell me about it this morning.

To their credit the Sun-Sentinal does print a wide variety of views. (A few months ago they had one from a freeper type that accused FDR of starting WWII.)

3. Bravo
Clearly and concisely put, and 100% true. Amen to that.
