Pastor says he hopes he can help teens held in cross burning (Good man)

SEATTLE -- Some people have told Pastor Jason Martin they can't understand why he's not angry at the teens who admitted they burned a cross in his family's front yard.

"We want to throw sticks and stones and cuss and all kinds of things when someone hurts us, but if we want to be good Christians, if we want to be a good community, I say send your enemy flowers," Martin said Sunday, a day after two 16-year-old boys turned themselves into police, saying they burned the cross.

Martin, who is black, said he hopes to talk to the boys, to tell them he forgives them and offer them guidance, if they're willing to hear him out.

"I would like to help them spiritually, of course, to help them know that Jesus loves them, that he died for their sins, and that no one has not committed a sin," Martin told The Associated Press in a phone interview as he drove home from church.

4. Christan's
are not evil. Its the evil doers(bush and co) that hide behind the mantel of Christ's teachings in order to do there evil that give them a bad rap.

5. my christian beliefs (fundamentalism is a joke)
don't interfere with my support of equal rights for homosexuals, and very strong support of church/state seperation. i think we can all look back to the byzantine empire (and the western roman empire especially at the same time) to see how well the state becomes a weapon of the church. keep it apart. far far apart.
