10. In Suskind's book O'Neill says he's an old rich man with nothing to lose,

but I think he had more to lose than he thought. No doubt some kind of threats from Roveco, probably hitting his family, children, grandchildren whatever. There's always someone vulnerable, something to blackmail in any family.
