Condi apparently HAS turned in perhaps the most incompetent performance EVER on such an important task as protecting the country against predictable terror attacks. But that grievous failure still does not justify subjecting her to what some might interpret as a crude racial stereotype.Humor is subjective.

I know none of you would ever insult African-Americans intentionally. But that's EXACTLY the point here.

Can you imagine this photograph being shown on Leno, Letterman, or the Daily Show? What consequences would ensue?

The far-righters already have falsely tried to paint Richard Clarke as an angry white male seething with sexist and racist feelings about having been demoted by an African-American woman. IMO, this kind of thing may be amusing to some percentage of DUers for a brief moment, but it could be very dangerous if it falls into the wrong hands.

15. It's not a racial stereotype, it's a piece of classic comedy

which dovetails perfectly into Condi's situation. Arnold asks, "What'chu talking about, Willis?" precisely because he knows damn well what Willis is talking about--and that's what's going on here. The mere fact that Aronld and Condi are of the both of the same race doesn't make it "racial." Is the graphic in post #13 racist because the original characters were white?
