The Bush White House Publicly Steps On Its Collective Appendage.
Anyone compare these two reports?

Chief White House Correspondent John)Roberts tells CBSNews.com the change in policy is being discussed at the highest levels in the White House. Rice reportedly believes that it might be positive for her to appear. BUT PRESIDENT BUSH MAKES THE FINAL DECISION, AND IS THUS FAR AGAINST IT, says Roberts. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/03/21/terror/main607659.shtml

"Condi Rice would be a superb witness. She is anxious to testify. THE PRESIDENT WOULD DEARLY LOVE TO HAVE HER TESTIFY," Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld told reporters. "But the lawyers have concluded that to do so would alter the balance if we got into the practice of doing that." http://www.newsday.com/news/nationworld/nation/ny-uscomm293727266mar29,0,7911730,print.story?coll=ny-nationhomepage-headlines

2. Pretty Amazing, Isn't It?
The Corporate Media is being dragged against their collective will into reporting anything on Rice's stonewalling.

I'm with you, Redleg.

3. Rummy involved?!?
What the hell is the Sec. of Defense doing involved in Rice's possible testifying? Ya mean to tell me Rummy has nothing better to do than give political advice when there is a friggin war on and the Pentagon has lost Trillions of dollars? What a miserable failure these guys are!

Good lord they are circling the wagons aren't they? Po' georgie must be shitting all over hisself in fear. I hope someone in the WH is planning on writing another book! I'd love to one day read a factual account of these last days of those miserable failures.
