So I guess the drip, drip, drip moves in the reverse direction...
...dont get me wrong I know polls are fluid and can change on a dime. But for all the people getting excited on here over the past week and talking about this being the end and the drip drip drip taking its tol, etc. the first major poll out shows Bush GAINING ground.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Actual facts and information mean nothing to the american people compared to their good old fashioned stubbornness in not wanting to be told what to think and who they should like or not like. This means that when a president is attacked in any way, there is no doubt a rallying effect. It may be slight but in these divided times its enough to turn the tide by a few points. We'd be lying if we didn't admit that Clinton benefited from it as well when he was being attacked.

It's ridiculous, it's silly, it's narrow minded, and it's short sighted. But unfortunately it's a fact of American life and no amount of drip drip drip is going to change it.

1. NNNNnnnnooooo
WASHINGTON (March 30) - A majority of Americans approve of the way President Bush is handling terrorism, according to a poll taken in the days after a former aide charged that Bush had underestimated the terror threat prior to the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

The USA Today/CNN/Gallup Poll released on Monday also showed gains in Bush's political position against presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts.

I don't get it. No one polled me, that's why.

Time for the US public to find out their kids are next if they vote Bush in.

BUSH2004/DRAFT2005

keep plugging away and letting people know. They probably think we have some sort of actual standing army. we dont. 75% of guard and reservists wont sign up again.

DRAFT is coming if Bush gets in.

8. Well we will need the draft
our guys are tired, hurt and if not physically then emotionally messed up.

My son will be the first round to get drafted cause of his age. I am trying to prepare myself for this.

The draft is coming regardless of who gets elected especially if you are correct in that 75% wont sign up again.

We are in this for the duration. Even Kerry said he cant pull our troops out right away. Dean was the only hope for that

2. here is an anology that might help.
A storm might cause a surge in water level along the coast, but eventually the normal, ultimately stronger, forces of tidal effect will take over.

He might get a small surge out of this, but eventually the currents will return to normal.

5. unfortunately, there is a large percentage of Americans who believe . . .
that they MUST support their president against any attacks, either foreign or domestic . . . these are the people who don't read, who get all of their news from television, and who haven't a clue what's really going on in the country and in the world . . . these are also the people who respond to polls and, at least to some extent, vote . . . to quote Walter Cronkite, "And that's the way it is" . . .
