What do you all think about a guest forum?

This has probably already been suggested, but it would be interesting to have a separate forum for guests where we can thread questions and the guest, on a specified date, can go through and answer whatever questions he/she would like. The mods could delete any questions prior that they believe are out of line or profane.

I know that the RW has culled some posts here and used them in an incendiary way in order to (unfairly) make this site look extremist, and that might be a problem in getting some to agree. Still, self-promotion does exist and we might be able to hook a few. There are many who might benefit from what the 'real world' is asking.

Some likely guests:

-Congressional candidates, who would not only get exposure but possibly some campaign donations;

-Print journalists from credible sources, such as regular contributors to the New Yorker;

-Someone from Air America, as we're a key target audience

Y'all get the drift. My personal wish list of individuals I'd like to see in guest forum include (and I know it isn't realistic to expect that a single one would agree):

-Candy Crowley, Bill Schneider, Wolf Blitzer, Woodruff and/or Aaron Brown or, for that matter, any CNN producer or executive.

-Gore Vidal (a girl can dream!)

-Robert Byrd

-someone from the Kerry campaign

-the author of any anti-Bush book

-Condi Rice, since she seems to accept any invitation to speak that doesn't involve being under oath.

We talk to each other, and it's like preaching to the choir at times. I'd love to get some new blood in here for constructive dialogue, and it would be good promotion for the site as well.
