While Cheney was hiding in the White House bunker on 9/11 and bush* was flying around the country hiding, Richard Clarke was actually the one who ran things on 9/11. He says so in his book. And Senator Durbin said the same thing on the Floor this morning.

Also, Clarke says in his book that his contact (I can't recall his name) in the Bunker says he can't hear Clarke's conversations from the Situation Room very well because Lynne Cheney (yes, she was in the Bunker too, along with Mary Matelin) kept turning down the volume to the Situation Room and turning UP the volume on CNN. Pitiful. Clarke trying to help the country, and Lynn Cheney hindering him listening to CNN. By the way, why wasn't she watching Fox???
