Can you cook Rice in Tin Foil?
I'm totally confused about the Rice v Clarke v 911Comm situation.

What is the headline here...???

A. Bush allows Rice to testify

B. Bush forces Rice to testify

C. Rice gets the last word on 911

D. Rice caves to public outcry over 911 commission

E. Will Rice testimony undo Clarke damage?

What effect are they(BushCO) trying to create here? I think the uncertainty about Rice is intentional. They played games with her - because they could - and now they can get the last word...

1. Rice's refusal to testify was a strategy to divert attention from Bush...
And the strategy worked...

What has the media been talking about for the past few days? Condi's refusal to testify publicly and under oath.

What has the media not been talking about for the past few days? Smirk's refusal to testify publicly and under oath.

Now, the 9/11 commission proceedings are just about set in stone. Now, the media and the public, easily fatigued by the controversy surrounding Condi's refusal to testify, are seemingly oblivious to Smirk's refusal to testify publicly and under oath. All the while, Condi prepares to give the 9/11 commission more nonanswer answers like the kind she gave 60 Minutes recently.

Disgusting.

2. Ahhh...didn't BushCo. stipulate that....
the commission could not ask any other member of the administration to testify?

So the Rice thing was just a ruse to make everyone think she somehow held all the cards. Now it looks like the Commission got the "star witness" - meanwhile...Bush eluded the entire issue.
