Jim Thompson on Tweety encouraging him to harass Clarke
when Clarke appears tomorrow night.

Anyone else see that?

Thompson is just pissed that Clarke dissed his dumb ass, and made him look stupid.

Not that Clarke had to work that hard at it.

Not hard at all.

3. Clarke laid the smackdown on Thompson.
I even had my mouth open during the testimony. Clarke was so composed, so together. They picked the wrong man to F with. He's as ruthless as they are... obviously since he knows the Republicans best. Clarke makes all his detractors look like amateurs.

4. Yeah, have you read the book?
Hes pretty cloak and dagger himself.

This guy must have a Pearl Harbor file to choak a horse...like that little thank you note from Bush on MTP.

After seeing that little exchange I said, 'woah...dude...'

Haven't sad down to read it yet. I'm glad Clarke is a Republican and that he's got the experience, expertise, and respect beyond someone like O'Neil to negate the "partisan attack" contention.

The only person who could do more damage to this administration is George Tenet. And I still think we haven't heard the last from him.

8. Clarke is earning a VP slot if you ask me
I don't see why Kerry should not pick him since he has the talent and insider know-all that is needed in these times. Clarke for VP now!!!!

21. During the hearings, Thompson thought he had Clarke on a
contradiction. Clarke shut him up so fast and so cool like, that I thought Thompson was gonna drop a load. Just like Lehman earlier in the hearings, Thompson couldn't say a fucking thing, after Clarke got after 'em. Clarke stopped 'em cold.

Tonight on MSNBC, Thompson again talked of all those Clarke contradictions. I guess Thompson didn't get it the first time. Plus he must think no one was watching the hearings when Clarke made a fool of him.

Then Lisa Meyers came out and said Clarke was lying, because he had made so many contradictions. Just what in the hell are those contradictions that everyone appears to know except me? I been watching and hearing the same thing they've been. I don't get it!!

23. I agree.....
the corporate media and repubs keep saying that Clarke has contradicted himself but never tell you anything more of substance except the background memo he put out for Bush after the Time Magazine article. Even Pat Buchanan says that he does not blame Clarke for putting out that backgrounder because it was his job to make Bush look good. However, there are all kinds of instances where Condi has lied but yet the corporate media is not all choked up about it. All they say is that Condi will make a GREAT witness. Sickening.

Is that what we want? Should it be softer than his 60 minutes debut?

all those posters from a day or so ago are pretty wrong, I'd say

10. Tweets is going to come out swinging
tomorrow with a lot of fresh ammo it seems. Why are there no talking heads out there rallying behind Richard Clarke, a true American patriot? These right wing shills are so smug in their belief that they will never be out of power, it seems like the only thing we haven't heard are their boasts of a "Thousand Year Reich".

Dana hauls water for the BFEE. Afghanistan and dealing with the Taliban pre9-11 was part of that.
