DU Blocked By The Navy
I used to be able to access DU all the time at work. Now, for some reason, I can't get in. I can get into the DU site from home (like now), but not at the office. I didn't go to DU all that often, not moreso than any other web site, and this is the only one that I can't get to anymore. It's been like this for two weeks.

Naturally, I have no problem getting into FREEPland. ;)

I don't want to jump to conclusions, so do any of you know why this could be, other than they decided that they don't want DU specifically coming through their system?

4. My company blocks most forums and chat sites.
So far DU and FR have escaped notice. They have blocked All blogs.

I imagine it's along the same lines for the Navy.

Stay safe-

14. I did, a couple of months ago...
The base netcafe limited access to many sites, including any with the name 'Democratic' or 'Republican'... you could get on Free Republic, but not DU. But I still had access to Bartcop, Media Whores, and many others. I believe (but do not know) it was a effort to make it non political.

My shipboard computer, though, let me have access to DU up until the day I retired. Go figure.

many tail wags, a huge THANK YOU for that link and respectful

rabbit in celibration of the great enemies of terrier-kind.

10. Not a technical answer, but a political guess.
In order to maintain the integrity of the chain-of-command requires respect and confidence in those above and below any link. From the perspective of the top brass, the party's over once the officer corps and the enlisted ranks discover there really is a crooked chimp in charge.

The unelected crazy moron, the commandeer-n-chimp, AwOL,
the cheerleader, the drunken coke whore, IQ 91, Bunnypants,
the Little Turd from Crawford, Smirkelgrüber. Traitor.
