Imus on bush & cheney's
scheduled appearance before the 9-11 Commission together: "It's like 'pork chop boy' will have his arm up inside his butt like a puppet." It does not sound like he's endorsing bush/cheney to me.

He's good for a laugh.

I'm happy to have Imus, Stern, and now Franken helping out the cause.

:P

4. They all disagree sometime - give them the right to say they are not......
biased. Imus just does it with a little less style - but when all is said and done he and his wife will vote pub. She will make him.

6. Imus' and Kerry's wives....
...are associated with each other on environmental issues. Hence, for at least ten years, Imus has supported Kerry. Thus, claims that Imus will turn, especially because of his wife, are clearly without foundation.
This morning, talking about the five Americans killed in Iraq, Imus was on point: he said that every morning he dreads finding out how many more of our troops have been killed, or what bomb went off on the West Bank.
Then he had Craig Crawford on. The guy was unreal today. He said that because Condi is with bush more than anyone else, the white house knows her testimony will hurt them. More important, he dug into the Saudi connection to 9-11. He told Imus to have Bob Graham on, because he is the only politician willing to discuss the bush and cheney connections to Saudi wealth as a SIGNIFICANT factor in 9-11 and any investigation.
Even if you do not like Imus, his show was kicking the crap out of bush.

5. Imus knows his market
People in New York are major pissed by the stonewalling on 911...remember, that's where both Stern & Imus sit and their largest, most important audiences are. They're both going for the large undertow of outrage in New York against this regime and it's "screw you, New York" attitude toward investigating.

Imus still claims to be a Repugnican, but also is very good friends with Kerry. He's also very loyal to his friends...those who show up on his show. Kerry has been a regular for years (also Imus' #2 market is Boston), and Imus also is good buds with Kerry buds McCain, Hagel, Cleland and others. I can see he's also sympathetic (as many of us still are) of those who came home from Nam and fought to end the war. The yuppies and neo-cons don't understand the strong bonds that developed in our generation towards the war and those who both fought in it and against it. They never will.

I think Imus is also honked off since he's not an "A List" when it comes to this regime. He rarely has ever had a regime mouthpiece on (usually just the regular group of scribes...and most of those "librul"...like Greenfield and Margaret Carlson) and was very pro McCain in 2000. Methinks Donald wasn't really "on the reservation" to start off with, but has others around who drink a lot of cool aid.

The real barometer on Imus is Charles McCord. He's the straw that stirs the mood...not McGurk...when he jumps on the regime, you know he's reflecting the tenor the show is heading.

7. Imus is a Whore Fest this a.m. Hyping Russert's book, Russert is doing
disinformation this mornging saying Clarke was harsher on Clinton than Bush in his book (not true and in the interview with Russert Clarke was positive on Clinton saying he did more than Bush!).

Russert had the audacity to say the Dems are disappointed that Bush hasn't gone down more in the polls but with Bush and Cheney out giving speeches about how good the economy is that Kerry hasn't defined himself. (No one mentions how the Media is showing the Cheney/Bush fundraising speeches all day) and that Kerry isn't getting any coverage at all except through what Russert says are "independent ads."

So, it begins. Just like with Gore, the Media says Kerry doesn't stand for anything and can't get his message across when in fact the conservative media gives FREE airtime to Bush/Cheney just as they gave it to Repug attacks against Gore in 2000.

Russert kept hammering how the country is divided 50/50 and that "Bush Haters and Bush Bashers won't change their opinion and the Bush supports won't either. He said it will not come down to Iraq but it will be about the Economy and Jobs and the "perception" of how the war in Iraq is going.

So, what about those charred, beaten dismembered bodies hanging on that bridge in Faluja? Wonder if we will hear that they were Iraqi's and not "state department officials" to cover that mess up that happened this morning.

:puke:

8. Imus mentioned he got an invitation to appear on "chris matthews show"
I'd like to hear those two go at each other. He didn't say if he accepted. Also,I thought I heard him say, "...who's that other idiot ... chris matthews", when trying to recollect whose show it was.

9. Sure. And last week he called
Matthews "that fat drooling fool." That's part of the show, for better or worse. It isn't serious.

10. Chris Matthews appears on Imus quite a bit...
I think he was just on Imus' show yesterday(my sense of time isn't the greatest). He's one of the more regular guests. They battle but they respect each other's opinions.
