MSNBC Headline "Gruesome Day" 9 Americans killed, of course will help Bush
Footage of charred American bodies dragged through the streets and pummeled by Iraqi citizens armed with lead pipes! Five more American soldiers killed by a bomb - the more the evidence reveals that our occupation of Iraq is an unworkable nightmare - the more the evidence reveals that we had absolutely no justification for launching this illegal, preemptive war - the more the evidence reveals that Bush was incredibly negligent about preparing for a terrorist attack like 9-11 - and that it was preventable - the more the American Corporate Media Whore Machine manufactures bullshit polls and a Bush PR media blitz which demonstrates that somehow the horrible, ever worsening situation in Iraq and the allegations of Bush's incompetence - is actually HELPING HIM DRAMATICALLY in his effort to be reselected!!!

If this makes absolutely no sense, just remember that NO STORY, NO ALLEGATION, NO AMOUNT OF EVIDENCE of GROSS INCOMPETENCE, DECEIT, CORRUPTION, OR PLAIN TREASON can ever harm GEORGE W. BUSH POLITICALLY!! He has been chosen by God - or perhaps more importantly, chosen by Evil Corporate America to advance a Christian American Empire, to destroy the pesky American middle-class, and to annihilate the greedy, tax collecting, New Deal loving Federal Government - which has always been the enemy and target of Big Business!

Accordingly, the following story actually HELPS the man who got us into this infernal mess in the first place - and who seems to have no clue (or intention) of ever getting us out!!

1. How much shit did Clinton get for bodies being dragged in Somalia?
Yeah, we all know the answer. And THAT situation was created by Poppy. How much crap will Junior get for his mess that he created? How much will Clinton get...?

"Republicans Say Somalia Worse Than Vietnam"

The silence from the GOP today is deafening...

20. Especially now that the public is beginning to understand the lies
"Terrorism" was a ruse to get us into war in Iraq. As long as more stories keep coming out that the Bush Admin had planned this war long before 9/11, people will eventually make the connection.

8. you nailed it.
but these forces are in control right now no matter what.
repukes in power{i.e. corporate facists} and we know who they are -- dems in power more subtle.
right now{relatively speaking} getting public financing back on the front burner can help. it's not a solution but it's a battle that can be won.
the new liberal radio that's on can also help a great deal.
we need the exposes a media outlet like that can get out.

9. Half this country gave it's soul to the devil
and now they want 4 more years.

4 more years while the right wing mandates over everything we deem unfair, the very people who pay their wages!

They ask for our taxes but they resist raising minimum wage (even refusing to vote for it! for politics sake)

We implore for affordable health care, instead they give the drug companies higher profits!

We ask for an alternative energy, they send our blood as exchange for Saudi oil!

The GOP is not cutting it, it's time we got our half back!

11. I am feeling very pessimistic
A week after the Richard Clarke testimony, it appears the polls show Bush has simply solidified his support. I don't get it, and I never will get it. The American people are deaf, dumb, and determinedly ignoring the facts. I was at breakfast today with some acquaintances, and one of them tried to talk another into reading the Clarke book. Her answer: "I don't need to read that man's lies. I already know the truth." (Probably from Fox news.) Mind you, this is a well-educated graduate of Smith College!

I'm getting this sick, sinking feeling about November.

13. I get the same feeling. My friends and I look at each other and say,
"It's not going to happen. We're stuck with this another four years." But we can't give up. Might as well hope than sit around feeling so desperate. But then, how can truth win against a lie? I haven't seen it happen very often. Sorry to be so pessimistic. *sigh*

"Yes, that's right Candy - John Kerry can run from his responsibility for these deaths, but he can't hide - and there's going to be an electoral price to pay come November.

29. I'm going to write congressional leadership (and others)
...and ask why the administration isn't correcting its incompetence and wishful thinking regarding this. Come on! They screwed up the whole postwar situation (looting, WMD, etc.) and the prewar. They ignored General Shinseki's counsel on sending MORE troops in, not fewer, and look at the ugly price we're paying.

And let's not get into the "they'll greet us as liberators" crap...

Maybe if the Senate Armed Services Committee hears from 30 of us, they'll start to take notice...

30. Iraq is the gift that just keeps giving to Bush--don't you understand the
mind of this public??? The more violence and death the better. To Amurekans it's "foreign rag heads" doing evil things. That means we should kill more of the sons of bitches....let them bleed, baby, bleed 'cause it gives you a warm fuzzy feeling while you watch the Final Four. It makes you so proud that our guys are over their fighting (no one wants to admit it's because the Iraqis hate our guts or that this is a mess). It makes those flags wave more and those charges of "shut your filthy liberal mouth while our boys are dying". Maybe if they had opened their stupid fucking minds a year ago, our boys wouldn't even been there. Either way Iraq goes it's a big A+ for Bush on the "love ya' baby meter". This won't change until we suffer here at home a lot more than we are; then they start thinking about their own pathetic lives.

Came to class today and everyone was upset by the amount of deaths today. All I heard is we need to get rid of bush, send him packing to texas and many more derogative remarks. This is an adult class I teach, ages form 55 on up. I have not had anyone support the shrub in months. I have 45-50 students aweek. I'm in central Fl too! Don't give in to those feeling, we can and are going to win our country back. We all have to get out and work for the cause, not sit and bemoan he might win again!

Worse, sent as part of an overall plan to destroy the Old American Republic that they signed up to defend.

George Bush and his Filthy Father should get rooms down the hall from Hitler and Stalin in hell.

(makes one hope for the Judeo-Xtian afterlife being true, doesn't it, just to see the Bushes and their Monstrous Stooges fry like hot bacon--I'd gladly do my time for Non-Belief if I knew Hitler, Stalin, Marcos, Bush, and Cheney were getting their Just Desserts)

At least the msnbc story above includes the following info:
<snip>
In all, at least 597 U.S. troops have died in Iraq since the war began March 20, 2003. Of the total, 459 have died since May 1, when Bush flew onto an aircraft carrier off the California coast to declare the end of major combat.
<snip>
