#1 Rice question
Okay, forgive me if this has been gone over already, but it seems the Condi Rice "Misdirection Machine" is at it AGAIN. Condi always wants to talk about the "quick meeting" that Shrub had with Clarke and others where Clarke got the distinct impression Shrub wanted to tie Iraq and 9/11. First the Condidiot lied outright, saying the meeting never happened, when Clarke produced witnesses she said that Shrub was just covering all bases when he prodded Clarke to search high and low for the ethereal Saddam/Al quaeda link. She then smiles and assumes all the good liitle press toadys will cease their impertinent questions. Sadly, they usually do. No one EVER says, "yes, Condi, but what about what Clarke says NEXT, that he and his team went and DID a report about any connection, came to the conclusion that there was NO connection, filed the report with YOUR office, from whence it was bounced back "wrong answer, do it again" IS THIS TRUE!!! WELL!!!
Then of course we'd all be having fried Rice. But no one ever mentions this. Did Clarke mention it in his testimony?

1. I sometimes think
they are all in this together. Nobody in the press ever challenges anything these people say. Do you ever notice how they ask a question, and receive a long, convoluted soliliquy that had nothing to do with the question, but accept that as an answer? I think they should ask them why they keep changing their stories, but no one ever will.

2. YES
and not to sound all "back in my day" hokey, but I
remember Sam Donaldson heckling Reagan and Bush Sr, EVERYONE
heckling Clinton etc. Donaldson even titled his book
"Hold On Mr President". Can you even imagine
someone in today's press corps sayiing "hold on Monkey
Boy..." I can't.

3. The media covers Bush's ass all day
And here is why:

Top 15 Republican donors

1 MBNA $3.0m
2 Philip Morris $2.9m
3 Microsoft Corp $2.4m
4 Bristol Myers Squibb $2.1m
5 Pfizer $1.9m
6 Enron $1.8m
7 Citigroup $1.8m
8 Time Warner/AOL $1.6m
9 Amway $1.3m
10 Glaxo SmithKline $1.3m
11 Exxon Mobil $1.2m
12 News Corp $1.2m
13 General Electric $1.1m
14 Limited Inc $950k
15 BP Amoco $950k

Time Warner, NewsCorp, and General Electric -- and boy, haven't they got their payback?

There's also a real clear explanation for a lot of Bush's other policies on that list.
