We need endless recalls in CA until the GOP cries uncle

While the recall event in California may be legal, it is clearly an attempt to undermine a fundamental principle that our representatives are elected by at least a significant plurality of the electorate.

Yes, there are lots of state election laws which allow someone with less than 50% of the vote to be chosen for office. (I don't disagree with those). But the idea that voters in the single digits of all turnout (forget percentage of population or total voters) is nothing short of an attempt to replace democratic government with anarchy.

Fine. The f---ing Republicans want anarchy, then we give it to them.

The Dems (or some organized movement) should announce that a recall will be organized and filed against any candidate other that Gray who is "elected" under these rules, and that the process will be repeated until the law is repealed or the date of the next regularly scheduled election.

the movement against gray was huge.

the amount of signatures needed to force the recall is tremendous, i'm not sure it could just "happen" without some serious problems arising from the newly elected person.

Just watch and see how big a movement there will be if Gray gets forced out of office! The Republicans and their right-wingnuts are turning politics in this country into a fight to the death. There is nothing too low for them to do to capture power. I'm really pleased to see so many Californians turning this into a circus! I would love to see Larry Flynt win it all!
