I can't believe I just heard Pat Buchanan criticizing the neo-cons!
Then he carefully explained who they are.

Air American is genius! Fantastic. I love Randi Rhodes.

4. It's great. I've never heard him talk about it before.
Now's the time to be talking about this too. Clarke and O'Neill have established that Bush/Cheney wanted Iraq from the beginning. So now people have to be asking themselves, why did they want Iraq?

We need to be talking about PNAC and the neo-cons again. So that everybody who doesn't want to be at war for the next 50 years can have the information before they vote.

3. Pat always said he didn't leave the GOP, they left him.
As much as I dislike some of his stands, I find him more acceptable than the neo cons. The neo cons put their agenda above the needs of America, and that should be opposed with vigor.

6. What I want to know...
is WHY no one ever refers to the neocons specifically as the PNAC? Buchanan talked around it but you just know who/what he was talking about but he never identified their organization by name. Why is that? More people might be inclined to do their own research if they had this info.

Anyway, here's the dirt on the PNAC for anyone still in the dark about them:

7. Actually Randi Rhodes did discuss PNAC with a caller earlier.
They did mention it. I don't know if PB did.

8. Pat Buchanan shocks me sometimes! He actually says something I agree
with once in a while, but then he goes back to normal and says something completely off the wall again.

Whose War?

A neoconservative clique seeks to ensnare our country in a series of wars that are not in America’s interest.

by Patrick J. Buchanan

The War Party may have gotten its war. But it has also gotten something it did not bargain for. Its membership lists and associations have been exposed and its motives challenged. In a rare moment in U.S. journalism, Tim Russert put this question directly to Richard Perle: “Can you assure American viewers ... that we’re in this situation against Saddam Hussein and his removal for American security interests? And what would be the link in terms of Israel?”

11. On this one issue Buchanan is alright.
He was the first to fully embrace Karen Kwiatkowski's message, and published a 3-part series by her that you can look for in the amconmag.com archives.

13. Buchanan has been doing that for a while now.
He has written some thoughtful, interesting articles about them. Other than that service, I dislike Buchanan and what he stands for.
