2. What about the DIEBOLD machines?
Also, if the race is close then a Repug governor could campaign for SHRUB! The recall must be defeated.

16. A repug governor
would have no coatails...and the support of on 20 to 25% of the electorate.

Polling will show Arnold with 30% Gray with 30% Issa with 20% and McClintock with t10%

Issa and mcClintock will each get 15 % because they are going to split the conservative vote. Arnold will get at least 25% on election day.

the rest will be dems hwol will ewither not vote at all or vote for some one of the dosen or so others.

So we could have a repug governor supported by 20% of the electorate. a Completely democratic group of consitutional officers and a state house that has a dem majority in both houses.

HE WILL GET NOTHING DONE!!!! HE WILL not control the His party's apparatus and will not be able to rally the faithful come election day.

19. I wouldn't count on that. the bushco will dump billions to make cali look
better. he will even get his oil buddies to drop energy prices in cali watch, for some strange reason cali will end up with gas prices lower than the rest of the country. and of course bush will go " I ain't did nothing, that's just a repug gov do a gooooood job"

3. Bush can steal the vote with the rigged machines
and the GOP governor can assure that. He wants to use California to make sure he appears to win the popular vote.

4. personally, few states in the union are more democratic.
and it appears that the sore losermen can't stand
not holding the hold enchilada. If the nazi wins,
he has to face a legislature of pissed off people
and what happens to the dems that are in state
government? He wouldn't be going with his own team.
If he tries to flub his way through, it will show.
Besides, Willie Brown wants to recall the repug if
they win. We need to mail him and say GO!!!!!!!!

California is not a banana republic nor is it the
Argentina refuge for the sons of nazi ss men.

5. It will give Bush even more control of California media
It will help Bush's fundraising ability in California. it will probably help him with Hollywood. It will stop all lawsuits against the federal government by the state of California.

There are so many ways that this will fuck the Democrats going into 2004, that it may be the death of our chances to oust Bush if Arnold wins and he is not immediately impeached.

6. Refuse to do business with him...
Just shun him; act like he does not exist. The Democratic position should be, if Arnold wins, "California has no governor." When he delivers the state of the state address in the capitol building no Democrats should show up. They should refuse to ever meet with him, or return his phone calls or in anyway provide him with formal recognition of a governor.

10. disaster for the Dem
it means that we have to spend money we don't have to win CA because now it's in play. You might win it without spending money but can't take that chance.

11. Don't think so...
Gore won it with a pretty safe margin, and since 2000 it's only gone leftward.

As for the Diebold machines, they can reverse a 1000-votes margin election, not a 1-million-votes-out-of-10-million margin.

13. I say:
1. If it has any effect on the presidential race, it will be to the democrats' benefit as it takes a hot-button issue away from the republicans.

2. A republican governor will have little power other than veto. Arnold will veto budgets that are not "fiscally responsible."
