Rice testimony about airport security
Was Rice asked any specific questions about airport security alerts immediately prior to 9-11? I mean very specific questions, such as

"Was there anyone in the Bush administration, CIA, FBI, etc. recommending that airports be put on high alert right before 9-11?"

If Bush or any of the "powers that be" ignored this recommendation (if there was one), that should be brought out, and it hasn't as far as I am aware.

1. blew my mind that the nat security advisor didn't know airport security
didn't know that pre 9/11 they allowed up to 4 inch blades.

isn't it her job to know these sorts of things?

3. Noone asked those questions
It would have been interesting to hear her reply to being asked about the "credible threat" that caused Asscroft to stop flying commercial airlines.

4. The headline would read
If recommendations were made to the Bush administration that airports be put on high alert, and these recommendations were ignored, it would be front-page news everywhere, to wit:

BUSH IGNORED RECOMMENDATION THAT AIRPORTS BE PUT ON HIGH ALERT
Sub Head: 9-11 could have been stopped
