Rather than attacking the first country with oil he could think of, he waited until the evidence was in and got the real evil-doers, like he did in the '93 WTC attacks. He soothed our pain and quieted our fears. Thank God we didn't have a fearmongering lunatic in office to exploit our fear and hate ad infinitum.

Now if I could just figure out how to time warp back to 1996.

ON EDIT: In case anyone can't tell - this is in response to folks like my co-worker, who said to the entire office on Sept. 11, maybe a couple hours after the towers fell "Thank God George Bush is president instead of Bill Clinton". I have never forgiven her for saying such a filthy and inflammatory thing on such a tragic day.
