Any leaks from Issa's campaign/Riordan Campaign
I see his withdrawl speech right now on the late local news. He was crying on TV. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the RNC, Karl Rove, or even the President himself forced him out of the race.

Now it seems like Riordan was also backstabbed, especially because he ran last year in the primary. The one statement from his aid compared it to "being mugged".

That leaves me with this question. Are both Issa and Riordan mad? And if so, what effect, if any, will that have on Ahnuld's campaign?

2. I've ....
been thinking about this and it is clear that something behind the scenes is going on but it can only be speculation at this point.

But, I have to admit it is sweet, sweet, sweet to see pukes get a taste of their own medicine.

Lie down with dogs, get up with fleas. Deal with it.

5. What i founf to be interesting is.
That yesterday on C-SPAN, the same day that Ahnold announced his coming out. Dick Cheney came out of hiding at a fund raiser in California. I think that the White House is the hand behind this recall and Issa had a talk with Cheney. The man behinfd the mask of Bush.

12. Why else would he be sobbing like a baby?
Cheney told him to step down, and Issa didn't want to. After all this was his baby. I'm sure that there is a big pay off in the end for Issa, well worth the million he spent on this.

jeez, Are Republicans the only ones making interest on their money these days?

15. Well if he were getting a "big payoff"
I doubt Issa would be crying. I think the WH bullied him out of the race.

19. I think they set him up
Got Assa to finance the recall signature gathering and recall campaign with assurances that he would get the GOP slot. Then after the work and spending his own money, they bailed. He got left with the bill. If the recall fails or Cruz gets the job, Issa will be done politically. Assa got his cominsupins.

11. cheney's been fundraising
Not claiming to have his Day Planner, but Cheney wasn't in his "undisclosed location" all this time:

6. Well, the GOP has a history of turning on their own.
Watergate is a good example of Republican duplicity, backstabbing and scapegoating. So, maybe if they are busy clearing the field, we should sit back and watch, hmm?

When Hitler began to see that the S. A., which had helped him get into power, as a liability, he framed Rhoem, a person with an unsavory past, and others of his organization for treason and had them executed. Hitler knew they were a liability and he didn't need them anymore.

Well, although they won't execute Issa, they knew he was a liability but encouraged him to bring down Davis I'm sure, and now that he is no longer useful, he has probably been told to step down or else. A political execution if you will.

The methods are the same, believe me.

8. I almost feel sorry for Issa
but almost doesn't count.

My wife and I have a mini-philosophy, which we taught to our kids to help them think clearly when they watch action or horror movies. We call it "Never Work For The Bad Guys"

You always get screwed. Shot, cheated, maimed, defamed, left behind to fight the good guys/monsters/aliens or just the bigger bad guys, it doesn't matter.

NEVER, EVER work for the bad guys.

Somebody should have told this to Issa.

9. Yeah
I felt kind of sad for him when he cried. Then again he should have known better.

Whatever the case may be the key question is how his supporters react to Arnold's candidacy. Do they come out for him?

13. This is so going to backfire on them
The rightwing of the part will be incensed if they gind out Rove orchestrated Arnold's entry. He is an absolute liberal on social issus including Gay rights and abortion.

If Simon Drops out. The right is going to yell foul because he was there darling .

Here is the best play for the DEMS Cruz stays in but does not actively campaign Davis goes savage on Arnold character and competence. and scares the faithful back to the polls. To save the Party for the Terminator. That is Grays's best shot.

Cruz simply states what he is already saying... I support the popularly elected governor of this state. He is simply protecting the interest of the the elecorate in presenting a democratic alternative should the recall be successful.

The Right wing will split between Mclintock and Simon at like 15% a piece. Arnold will get 25% and CruZ should get in the mid 30s and wins if Grays flamethrowing does not work and he losed the recall question.

16. Ooooh, you're much too sweet.
I felt almost deliriously happy watching him shed those big, fat, crocodile tears. As I danced around with both saluting fingers held high in the air and aimed at the TV. Boo-hoo. Cry me a river, schmuck! Guess he's just a lot better and more effective stealing cars than stealing elections...
