Since the recall hit the print and airwaves, has anyone heard about 16 words? The American dead in Iraq? The refusal of Arab states to recognize the "puppet government" in Iraq?

Hypocrites!

Anybody growing over 50 marijuana plants is subject to federal prosecution.

Did anybody else get treated like Attorney General John Ashcroft's nephew?

40. here you go
from MAPINC.org (I even submitted the article!)

<snip>
Others convicted of similar offenses in Missouri have certainly faced tougher punishment. Eric Edmundson, an electrical engineer in Pineville, Mo., served two years in Leavenworth federal prison after his August 1993 arrest for what police said were 51 marijuana plants growing on his property.

Edmundson was accused of selling marijuana, a charge he denies.

He accepted a plea bargain to spare his wife, a non-drug user, who was also charged. "You get a bad gut feeling in your heart, when the judge says 'I'm sorry I have to do this -- no good can come out of it,'" says Edmundson, who now works as a production manager in a circuits factory.

He said he's "bitter" that Ashcroft merely got probation after being convicted on similar charges.

The irony of an Ashcroft relative receiving lenient treatment for a drug offense won't be lost on drug reformers. The Drug Reform Coordination Network, a national advocacy group, calls Ashcroft "one of the most hawkish drug warriors supporting some of the most extreme drug war legislation during his tenure in the Senate." He has supported toughening mandatory minimum sentencing laws, and has opposed efforts to end the disparity between penalties for crack and powder cocaine, and to curtail racial profiling.

His nephews' arrests weren't the only drug-related embarrassments during Ashcroft's term as governor. His drug czar had to resign over revelations he'd used drugs himself in his youth.

liberal northern california (probably right - doesn't matter)...

quasilibera/freneticalsoconservative southern california (probably doesn't matter - even the republican areas are more sophisticated and "make exceptions)... and

the very conservative (and red) central vally - agricultural region. Here it probably matters. Which is bad for Arnold cause those are good ole pub votes.

While that was on the Jimmy Kimmel Show,

David Letterman was ripping up Arnold all night.
He was also ripping up Bush asking the audience if they too had
a 35 day vacation. Everyone yelled "no" they did not have the
opportunity to have 35 days off, and he said that the reason why the
audience didn't is because they were needed at work(unlike the Pres.)
He also reassured the audience that America was doing far better while he was on vacation.

LOL!!!.....Letterman was a hoot!!!

16. That makes me happy, actually.
The fact that marijuana is illegal and both beer (worse intoxication) and tobacco (worse CANCER) are legal is BULL-FUCKING-SHIT, no way around it. (synthetic drugs that directly impact the brain are legal though, eh?)

Now, tell me guys, is Arnold a centrist repub or a winger? I really like his views on after school programs, I think its to key to a good childhood if your parents have to work constantly.

Around here the teen center started letting a group of kids hold a fight club, a real fight club, based off of the movie. It was immediately closed down and protested by the students. Well, I'd rather my kid be smoking pot than sitting around beating the shit out of other people and getting the shit beat out of them.

I love the point you alluded to (maybe unintentionally). People blaming Davis for Californias economy. I bought it at first, actually, feel like a fool now.

IT AIN'T JUST CALIFORNIA, ASSHOLES, IT'S THE WHOLE COUNTRY.

Cali. is a state after all.

You never know is Arnold is truely a fiscal conservative. I am pretty sure Arnold has posed for photo-ops with AWOL, but you never know. I support both socialism and being fically conservative.

It's a sad state of affairs when the Democratic party are REALLY the fiscally conservative party.

But hey, Democrats were the slavery supporters 150-so years ago, so things may just be changing.

Here's a scenario: Arnold wins, secedes from the Union, declares himself King Conan, and his first acts are to legalize pot, gambling and prostitution. Now that's Business Friendly!

Then he charges everybody $5 to cross into California from the other 49 states. That'll get rid of the deficit!

43. .........not necessarilly
___I could be wrong.

However, it appears that Arnold is a 'centrist' Republican(not all Republicans are conservatives).

A while ago, Howard Stern kept asking him about his pot smoking in 'Pumping Iron'(and if Arnold would legalize pot). Even though Arnold kept trying to evade the question, it is clear that he views his pot smoking days as a thing of the past i.e. his young partying 70's phase.

Still, it is significant that a candidate for governor of California(which legalized medical marijuana!) used to smoke pot.
