I was re-reading "How They Stole Morality"
I happen to agree a lot with this article, but one thing has always puzzled me, fundies say that a family is a mom, dad, and child, but what about widows or orphans who live with other relatives?
Another interesting thing I've found was during the hight of Pokemon, many people were bitching about how evil it was when the show itself was very moral. Ash and his friends willingly help others without asking for anything in return, stand-up when something is wrong, and show kindness to their enemies. And then look at the bible where a bully like Samson kills people to get their clothes to repay a bet and ties some foxes tails together and sets them on fire to burn out an enemy village. Or how God demanded that Abraham kills the son he desparately wanted for a long time (probably putting the poor man through a lot of mental angst) and then told him it was only a test. Even as a kid, I thought that was rather mean.
It makes you wonder what god these guys really worship.
Love,

1. I wonder about the God they worship as well.....
Because I know this - If I were GOD there are many people I would strike with instant death and send them straight to the supposed DEVIL.

For example, someone raping a child...

What kind of God would let that happen?

Additionally, I wouldn't need to be worshiped for being a God... with hymns, and prayers and songs...

I'd be more worried about helping the innocents.

I still do believe in God though, but I do wonder about these things.

2. But then...
If you were God your view wouldn't be limited to a handful of
years and you'd have a plan in place that make our lives here
seem like a second when compared to eternity.
