The CA Recall and CALPERS
This recall is nothing more than attempt to rip off the California Public Employeed Retirement fund, "CALPERS". CALPERS is probably the largest and most sucessful pension fund in America. Ahnold's role is to provide the public face to this theft.

Why do I say this? In order for Ahnold to win and be popular, he has to propose huge tax cuts. Do the math. The state is having huge budget problems because their revenues are far, far less than the expenses. If Ahnold gets his tax cuts, there will be even less revenues. How do they make up the shortfall? Raid CALPERS. There's no other source of money for the state. There's only so much the state can borrow.

This is nothing more than a clever attempt to raid CALPERS. For all Californians working for the state and nearing retirement, this recall election should be taken very, very seriously. You are about to be Enroned. You are about to lose your retirement fund. That's what this election is about. It's not about Davis. It's about raiding the CALPERS fund

Also, don't rely on the courts to save you from this. The biggest lesson from 2000 is that the courts are corrupt to the core and cannot be trusted. Don't let three or four judges decide if you're going to have a retirement fund or not.
