I can't believe anyone would think he was. He may be an ok actor but he is clueless when it comes to gov't. What qualifications does he have? Other then the ones that will really be running the show.
If it weren't so serious it would be funny that the right thinks actors who don't support their agenda have no business having an opinion must less actually saying it out loud. But they seem to think is is fine and dandy to appoint actors to gov't elected positions when it meets their needs.

2. An "ok actor"?
I think you may be giving him too much credit.

3. why not?
What does it mean to be qualified? For national office, the qualifications are very simple.

Personally, I'd like cut down on the number of preofessional politicians, and choose our elected officials through a pool, similar to our jury system. If you are a registered voter, you are eligible for office. It'd be a better representative democracy, because every one can play. Of course, the elections would be publicly funded.

4. He claims he can turn the CA economy around -
but doesn't say how. Also by blaming the economy mess on Davis he doesn't even know who is majorly respondsible for the mess in the first place.
I don't think joe schmoo off the street could run a state. But then Arnie won't be either, those that pull the strings at the White House will be running or maybe I should say fleecing CA.

6. We know that Gray Davis is not!
Davis is facing a massive bipartisan rejection of his administration in the polls. He's cooked!

Democrats should rally around Cruz Bustamante!
