On the basis that (quoting a moderator's explanation) "threads questioning policy should be started in the Ask The Admin forum."
Well, I looked at the Ask The Admin info, and it states: "Ask a question and get an answer from the site administrators (Skinner, EarlG, or elad)."
So, If I don't have a question for an admin, there is no reason to post in that forum. If I just want to dicuss, with other DUers, the effects that this policy has on the GD forum, then the GD forum is the best place to do so. Censorship on a democratic forum is absolutely a political issue. If we were discussing censorship on Free Republic, would the admins have a problem?
Furthermore, other types of posts that are begun in a wrong forum are simply moved to the correct forum. It's mighty strange that dissenting viewpoints in the GD forum are locked, or deleated.
So, DUers, do you think that these policies will make you less likely, or more likey to post in GD, or will it just not matter to you?
Note: I have no questions for the admins. I want to hear from the people who use the service. Let this thread stay where it is, please, unlocked. I have broken no rules.
