Ebay relents, will carry Stein's "Axis of Weasels" deck of cards
Edited on Sat Aug-09-03 07:28 PM by nu_duer
A few days ago someone posted about how Ebay had removed a "most wanted" type deck of cards that featured the high-profile liars in the bush misadmin. who had pushed for the conquest of Iraq. Evidently, enough people raised enough hell about this political censorhip attempt that Ebay has decided it will allow the cards. I found this link at whatreallyhappened, hope it isn't a dupe.

To hell with the rw "tho shalt not question or speak ill of little bush" law. These rw extremists who have hijacked the flag cave every time enough patriots stand up to them, the weasels.

NEWS FLASH!!! -- Ebay capitulates! I received a phone call from an Ebay representative today (Aug. 08/03) who told me that they will not pull my 'Axis of Weasels' prints if I decide to list them on Ebay in the future. She also asked that I restrict my personal political views to the 'About Me' page and not as part of the product description.

4. Kinda beside the point, but yes, good marketing will sell ANYTHING
Especially if you're trying to sell something plastic, late late at night...

Love that "as seen on TV" claim. Beautiful. We should talk about becoming rich...

5. Keeping your personal views off the product description?
How does that work when the product itself expresses your views so well? LOL!

Anyway, congratulations on eBay's capitulation. They were clearly in the wrong! Great looking linocuts, too.
