Washtington Times- "Gore Vision is blurred"- More biased media
http://algoresupport.proboards19.com/index.cgi?board=grassroots&action=display&num=1060488923

SNIP>Mr. Gore, who not so long ago was describing Iraq as a "virulent threat in a class by itself," validated just about every conspiratorial theory of the antiwar left. President Bush, in distorting evidence about the Iraqi threat, was pursuing policies "designed to benefit friends and supporters." The war was waged "at least partly in order to ensure our continued access to oil." And it occurred because "false impressions" precluded the nation from conducting a serious debate before the war.

You can see why he might want to think so. Mr. Gore believes, for example, that the Patriot Act represents "a broad and extreme invasion of our privacy rights in the name of terrorism." But then how to explain that 98 senators -- including all four Democratic senators now running for president -- voted for it? The president's economic and environmental policies represent an "ideologically narrow agenda" serving only "powerful and wealthy groups and individuals who manage to work their way into the inner circle."

Thus, Mr. Gore maintains, we were all under the "false impression" that Saddam Hussein was "on the verge of building nuclear bombs," that he was "about to give the terrorists poison gas and deadly germs," that he was partly responsible for the 9/11 attacks. And because of these "false impressions," the nation didn't conduct a proper debate about the war. But there was extensive debate going back many years; last fall and winter the nation debated little else. Mr. Bush took his case to the United Nations. Congress argued about and approved a resolution authorizing war. And the approval did not come, as Mr. Gore and other Democrats now maintain, because people were deceived into believing that Saddam Hussein was an "imminent" threat who had attacked the World Trade Center or was about to do so.

There is more than that. Those are just some of the biggest lies. I cant believe how biased the WT has been this week alone. Our media group sent hundreds of emails and calls to a writer because of their terrible journalism just this week:

4. Ignoring the context of the passing of the Patriot Act
The Patriot Act was quickly passed through Congress right after the attacks on 9/11 without any real debate.

9. it's misleading to call it the "Patriot Act", which reeks of KKKarl
Rove dirty tricks....

we should try to call it the actual name, which is:

U.S.A.P.A.T.R.O.I.T. Act
Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism

I prefer to pronounce it as:

the Usapa Troit Act....

NEVER should we call this the "Patriot act"...it misleads all of America....and it has NOTHING to do with patriotism...in fact, it is unpatriotic to support the Usapa Troit Act....

There would be no need for damage control, if there was no damage done.

Keep it up Al, and thanks.

7. see that was my gut instinct on the gore speech
Edited on Sun Aug-10-03 12:01 AM by Wonder

he made a showing of all the check points which we all knew about, but the speech was not risky enough... it just looked good enough to give the impression to the american people that the democrats are not happy with this coup that they too had a hand in allowing happen. None of them made any real effort to stop it. Not after the anthrax hit capitol hill.... everyone got real quiet... didn't they?

saying the whole fucking system needs to be exposed is an understatement... they are all in the pig sty... POLITICAL REFORMATION needs to be the main event... and the whole system needs fixing because it is bought and sold by fascist interests and it has been this way a long time...

I have this feeling that all the dems sometime accomplish BECAUSE NONE OF THEM ARE REALLY BREAKAWAY is just helping to maintain the fallacy that all we need to do is get capital hill back in the hands of he dems...who have over and over again only proved themselves complicit every time. to some degree it is six of these half dozen of the other...

President Clinton put forward in 1998 this false impression regarding SH as did Gore as is clearly indicated... and clinton was an invitee to one of the Bilderberg's secret steering committee meeting in the nineties as well.. And Gores lovely wife at one time supported censorship.

You gotta stop and hear what's that sound everybody knows what's going down. the sad fact of the matter is they are all spin crazy and it becomes harder and harder to maintain a sense of equilibrium in an effort to unravel the spins and separate the myths from the facts...

and a democrat my not be the savior we all think will get this country back on track... well maybe not... and it is time this is considered... that Gore's speech as convincing as it was... might just have been a grand placation... and all of them require vigilant scrutiny because they are HIDING IN PLAIN SIGHT ...

IT MIGHT BE RIGHT WING PROPAGANDA... BUT CAUTION IS ADVISED.

ON EDIT: don't get me wrong this is not an arguement for advocating a vote for a republican HELL NO... i just think the corruption is much more pervasive than we know it and the dems want my trust they have to start really yelling about it...
