County's 'approved religions' for official prayer: dangerous and wrong
Inside the First Amendment

Only “approved religions” get to offer an invocation before the Board of Supervisors in Chesterfield County, Va. Pray to one God and you’re in; pray to many Gods and you’re off the list.

That whirling sound you hear is Thomas Jefferson and James Madison spinning in their graves.

3. They should be subject to civil rights charges.
I disagree with, well, just about everyone at DU on how to interpret the first amendment, but, I agree that this is wrong. The individual should be stronger than the government in regard to practicing religion with no other individual given a higer right over the right of that individual. And, they transgress civil rights in regard to making law establishing religion.
