For anyone who didn't see Al Gore's fantastic speech last week
I heard it will be rerun on C-Span today, at 1:00 p.m., E.S.T..

It was a speech which left some of us almost breathless, and, from what I read, a few actually in tears. Sure wish he'd gone off after George Bush during his campaign, instead of getting hammered relentlessly for the entire campaign, and well after.

It's really worth catching. C-Span will also show it online simultaneously at www.C-Span.org. It's available in archive there, as well.

8. Wonder, if you need it to hear later
I located it in archives, several pages back.

It's the fifth entry down on this page:

Fmr. Vice Pres. Al Gore Remarks on Bush Admin. Iraq Policy

6. why is he reading this speech?

that is my main question now that I am watching his speech. It is a very well written speech. There is little I disagree with. His words have been well chosen. But... why is reading it? It just lacks passion. Something bothers me about this.

10. well

It seems to me the points he makes are not all that new. I certainly don't mean to suggest he should memorize the whole thing BUT he is reading off the page large chunks of this speech... and considering the funkY and fishy nature of all of this... yes I would expect he should be not so stuck to the page... except to check perhaps sequence as he moves from point to point.

but don't mind me... I am pro-democrat (althought skeptical of all the complicitly) and in the absence of any other party alternatives that would have a chance to oust this current cabal ... Seems to me it is not too much to expect some of his points would be embedded just a bit more within his heart than him having to read so much of it from the page...it just seems too careful to me...

but YES I am seriously skeptical and more cynical than is healthy. I kept getting all enthusiatic at one point many times more than once since 9/11 however... that seemed to be to much of an emotional rollercoaster SO YES I find myself wondering why Gore had to read so much of this speech... it is a sensual observation is all, potentially it means nothing, it might just indicate the depth of political distrust, it seems odd to me.

9. It's 45 minutes long, I heard
AND he doesn't have a teleprompter, like George Bush, or Bill Clinton.

11. Gore was always a bit staid

I am a passionate person... his delivery is stoic... perhaps that is all this is about... it just struck me odd he needed the his notes on this subject as much as he did, is all. I reserve all judgement mostly I watch the show, try and keep abreast of my own cynicism and stay tune...

I am no jeanne dixon you know... It just struck me odd. I watch body language and what is not said, or how what is said, is said... I do it naturally I can not help it... sorry I don't mean to piss anyone off.

13. What do you expect?
No one memorizes a whole speech. Clinton does the same thing when giving speeches. If you dont have a teleprompter that is the only way.

Also, if you need to find any Gore videos quick please use our new video page: http://www.algoresupportcenter.com/issuesandvideos.html
