Carl Bernstein on Wolf compares Shrub with Nixon
said Pubs are behaving like Pavlov's dog and demonstrating blind allegiance to Shrub. They need to take a close look at their President's lack of capabilities.

GO FOR IT Carl!

If only Woodward had half the decency of Bernstein...
Even Redford regrets playing Woodward as such a straight up guy.

9. Why is Woodward revered among media people?
I think he has an obvious agenda and the talking heads let him go on and on spewing his right wing message.

Watching him for a few minutes on Larry King last night really made me sick. A caller asks why there isn't more anger out there for the lies we've been told by bushco and Woodward says, "We're all angry. If someone were able to interview the president right now you'd find out that he is angry too" He goes on to justify the war and bush's rational for going into Iraq and what a highly intelligent guy he is.

I mean, C'mon.....he showed his true colors and I hope people are paying attention to the subtext.

3. He really did try to shut him up huh?
I'm just glad Carl had the opportunity to say the things he did. If it makes just one "blind follower" think, it's worth it!

15. Carl Bitch-Slapped The Wolfmeister Good
Notice how many times he answered questions with "Apples & Oranges" in attempts to compare Watergate crimes to the ongoing ones of this regime, and Bernstein didn't bite!

Wolfie just couldn't get Bernstein to call Bunnypants a criminal and Bernstein said everything but this regime lies about everything and anything. As usual, Wolfie looks like a moron...literally.

11. Actually, Nixon was a very bad person
Slimy, creepy, virtually invented dirty tricks. Read up some time about his early electoral campaigns -- I think they were against Jerry Vorhees for Congress in 1946 and Helen Gahagan Douglas for Senate in 1948 or 1950. Nixon was up to his neck in McCarthyism in the early 50's. The word at the time was that even Ike didn't like him much but only accepted him as vice-president to appease the right wing of the Republican Party.

By the time of Watergate, Nixon was relatively mellow (aka "The New Nixon") -- and even then he was paranoid, autocratic, and vindictive. Here's a Herblock cartoon from the early Nixon years to give some sense of how he was regarded c. 1952.

12. Not a "bad person"?
Hmmm

Paranoid psychotic.
Inferiority complex.
Vindictive.
Did all within his power to punish perceived enemies by means leagal and not.
But not a bad man?
Just sick?

6. Blitzer wouldn't let him make his most salient points. Cut him off
When will a decent, patriotic Republican step of to the challenge of GW Bush and help us get our Courts and Constitution back? I just can't believe that true 'conservative' Republicans go for this shit that Bush and neocons are doing to this country. I am sure the the right-wing, funddy Republicans are all for Bush, but even I can't smear ALL Republicans with that filthy brush. These people and their media whores are un-fucking-belivable!
