Here's some grass roots activism to try
We here at DU know what is going on. We'd like to make sure others know, but in a way that won't turn people off. I think I've found a way. I went to the Post Office to get stamps, and casually mentioned to the clerk that I'd read on the Internet that Bush is proposing selling Post Office property and privitizing it. The guy (who must've been a union steward) proceeded to give me the entire history of the problem. I got in the fact that government contractors were doing our troops wrong in Iraq, leaving them without air conditioning, etc, etc. Everyone around was listening, and I didn't hear one dissenting voice, but saw a lot of thoughtful faces. So try it when you go pick up stamps and see what happens.
