This whole "CMB" thing

I find it annoying when people on this board just say CMB...CMB...CMB... instead of Carol Moseley Braun, Moseley Braun, or Braun. No one's saying JIL, JFK, HBD, etc, etc. Maybe I'm the only one who is bothered by this. I find it to be demeaning to one of our own candidates.

I'm still embarrassed by how often I misspelled Carol Moseley-Braun's name. She has a good platform on her website, and as far as I'm concerned, she's on my side.

it's much easier to type the acronym than her full name.

IMO, it's as simple as that.

Kucinich supporters frequently refer to him as DK. We also sometimes abbreviate our screen names here at DU. Oops...DU! Democratic Underground!

I usually refer to CMB as Braun...so I don't have to remember where to put the "e" in Mosely or Mosley. We're typing in shorthand. I don't believe any disrespect is intended. I like the lady; I'd love to see her on the ticket for VP.

Harry S Truman (HST), John F. Kennedy (JFK), Lyndon B. Johnson (LBJ)--more often than not in newspaper stories,ect they were refered to by their initials.
