Anyone have any information on Mitch Daniels?
He is running for Governor in Indiana now but I seem to remember he was part of Bush's team. Wasn't there some kind of scandal he is associated with?

1. He was head of the OMB
I do recall some sort of scandal. Trying to Google as we speak.

2. He was the Director of the OMB - you know... responsible for those
HUGE DEFICITS. Scandalous just in his actions as OMB director. But I don't remember any other scandals.

3. OT - Hey Salin...
I am volunteering for the Joe Donnelly campaign here in South Bend. This morning we all met at the Dem HQ downtown to march in the Memorial Day parade. They had a photoshopped picture of Chris Chocola (R)(his opponent) as "Count Chocula". Pretty damned funny I will have to get a copy of it next time I am there.

4. grab it... and insert frankendaniels
(ala frankenberry)

How do the prospects for upsetting Chocola look? Is Roemer ever coming through - I seem to recall that he was quite popular in the district (and might get some folks to come out to fundraisers?)

5. Things are looking great for Joe.

He is creating quite a buzz here and it is nice to see people on the street recognize his name when he introduces himself. I think Chocola is going to get sent packing. I would like to see Roemer come back here and campaign for Joe but I haven't heard anything about it.

Tim was very well liked around these parts and it would be a good thing for Joe's campaign.

6. Of course Tim is a tad busy these days
with that Commission gig.

Great to hear that Joe has a good shot. Things look stable down here - Hill looks strong (he is centrist - but getting a little better); haven't heard much about Hostettler - which makes me think he might be pretty set as well (boo!). And we are just on the edge of BombemBuyer's district - can't see that district flipping. I think the best hope for a gain (or re-gain, be that the case) in the state is in your district. We are behind you!
