You know, we've got people who have been there last year and have been back this year report a different attitude. And they report people have got a sparkle in their eye. And women now all of a sudden no longer fear the future but believe that we're there to stay the course and we will help a free society emerge."

in Iraq for a year, he just got back not long ago and he HATES Shrub, a feeling which is apparently shared by a large majority of his fellow soldiers. He said that the Thanksgiving appearance was a total joke. His military company was displaced from their usual quarters in favor of a "handpicked" cheerleading brigade, which fucked up their own Thanksgiving dinner, and the turkey wasn't real. Shrub left some really hard feelings behind him.

And the absolute nerve of him to say that "some didn't stand up and do their duty" is just breathtaking in its audacity, considering he used daddy's name and money to get out of any kind of real service in Vietnam, read comic books, fucked around stateside, and then just plain didn't show up for duty anymore when he himself should have been "standing up and doing his duty." Un-fucking-believable!
