For the Los Angeles protest we're bringing a much taller and more elaborate Bush puppet then the last protest. I need DU volunteers to help pull it and hold the arms.

4. because rumsfeld address was left at a coffee shop in DC accidentally
by one of his staff, who also left a lot of detailed meeting notes...fortunately for us, a brave American Patriot FOUND the notes, sitting on the table at the coffee shop, after rummy's staffer left...AND took them right away to a Democratic think-tank in the neighborhood for safe-keeping, who kindly returned them to an embarrassed pentagooon....it was all written up in the Washington Post...AND rummy was infuriated that everyone knows where this WAR CRIMINAL lives now....

and...it's really a whole lot safer to walk through neighborhoods full of Democratic pro-PEACE people, than it is to make yourselves a TARGET right outside the pentagon....it will also make a BIGGER impact....

brave American Patriots have been at WAR CRIMINAL rummy's front door, ever since GOD sent us his address....

Street Theatre on the PUBLIC SIDEWALK outside war-criminal rumsfeld's house in Northwest Washington DC....

there is also a short video showing highlights of the action....they brought some German Shepard dogs along with them too...

AND, if you look on the left sidebar of the link below, you'll find the links to ALL Independent News outlet all over American and the World...ANYONE can post on IndyMedia...it's the ONLY real news left anymore...read YOUR local news on your local Independent Media outlet...

rummy's address is posted on the link below, along with an invitation from Patriotic Americans to come and protest ANY TIME on the public sidewalk outside rummy's DC mansion....IMO, it really bothers the old WAR CRIMINAL...it's like shining a light on cockroaches...

2. I'll be there in D.C.
I'm not going to try to meet up with anyone but I'll probably take my camera. There's also a run for breast cancer scheduled so D.C. will probably be a real zoo on Saturday.

8. would be SHOCKING if there was nothing in Minneapolis/St.Paul

try contacting Paul Wellstone's group...
http://www.wellstone.org/

you might also contact local churches, Veteran's groups and other Pro-Peace activists....

talk to these people:

MINNESOTA
Local Office:
Duluth Peace Action
Mary Oweys
2323 E. 5th Street
Duluth MN 55812
phone: (218) 728-1907

http://www.peace-action.org/gen/affmw.html

it's not like bush*'s media puts out GIANT announcements of these events on TV, talk radio, and newpapers...most of it is just regular people, volunteers, with little or no money....

here in DC, we run these BIG national events out of the basement of an old almost-condemned house that we share with the Nicaraguan Network....so don't expect reTHUGlican type advertisement...Pro-Peace people are always sincere community-value people who may not know exactly what it takes to reach YOU...but I am certain that YOU could find the Saturday April 5 Rally in Minneapolis with about three phone calls or emails....

good luck...STANDING UP takes effort...

End the Occupation of Iraq- Bring the Troops Home Now!

Saturday, June 5, 11:30 AM
Library Plaza
Hennepin & Lagoon
Uptown neighborhood, Minneapolis

On Saturday, June 5, there will be a mass anti-war march on the Pentagon in Washington, D. C, to say "End the Torture-End the Killing-End the Occupation-Bring the Troops Home. In solidarity with that march, a protest will be held in the Twin Cities area. People around the world, and especially people of the Middle East, are seething over the daily experiences and exposures of torture and humiliation imposed by U.S. military forces on Iraqi forces. The war and occupation itself is a crime. Tens of thousands of men, women and children in Iraq have been killed, their lives destroyed, their home broken into, their loved ones taken prisoner.

Peace in the Struggle,

Twin Cities Peace Campaign-Focus on Iraq
612-522-1861

The event was initiated by: Iraq Peace Action Coalition. For information: Anti-War Committee 612 379-3899, Twin Cities Peace Campaign/Focus on Iraq 612 522-1861, Veterans for Peace 612 821-9141 or Women Against Military Madness 612 827-5364.

everybody's welcome.....bring your banners and signs, your songs and music, your street theatre and costumes, bring your friends and neighbors, your community groups....everyone who wants PEACE, now is the time to STAND UP...WE THE PEOPLE must stop the war criminals now...

says "US SOLDIERS GO TO JAIL - CACI torturers GO FREE"...on I-66 in Arlington VA....very very close to the pentagon....

there was also a PROTEST at Ballston Metro Stop today, near the CACI Corporated headquarters....

-snips-

A defence contractor supplying civilian interrogators to the US military at the scandal-ridden Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq is a subject of five different government investigations, the company president said today.

Most of the investigations centre on whether it was proper for Arlington, Virginia-based CACI to provide interrogators to the US Army under a contract with the Department of the Interior that was originally designed for information technology services.

CACI President and Chief Executive J.P. London told Wall Street analysts that the company is co-operating fully with the investigations. The company has also been doing its own investigation.

Earlier this week, the interior department blocked the Army from ordering new services from CACI under the contract while it is being reviewed. CACI interrogators now working in Iraq are permitted to continue their work.

CACI is investigating the conduct of its interrogators, but Mr London said “we believe people are innocent until proven guilty”. Stefanowicz’s lawyer has also proclaimed his client’s innocence.
Mr London said he did not believe any of the investigations would result in a serious punishment for CACI, whose shares dropped 10% in trading this afternoon.
