Poll question: The logistics of Nader Voting.

If you are inclined to support Nader, does your state's red/blue status have a bearing on your vote? Nader's support of Kerry?

1. I want Kerry to win both the election and the popular vote

In addition to the fact that I am still enraged at what Nader did in 2000, I want Kerry to get the popular and electoral vote. I don't want the other side to have the soundbite of "he lost the popular vote". That's all my Kerry vote in Texas is good for.

2. I'll vote for Kerry no matter what, in 2004

I reserve judgement in 2008. If Kerry does not end the illegal occupation of Iraq, I will vote against Kerry in 2008.

3. I live in a Red State that probably won't let Nader on the ballot

so the point is moot for me (as it was in 2000).

That said, I would not vote for Nader in any case. I don't think he would be a good president. I know people who have worked with him and they say he is impossible to get along with and a spass at management.

I agree with many of his green proposals, but Nader is not the right person to actually drive those kinds of bills through Congress. We need somebody who can play the game.

My politics are far to the left of Nader, so don't start with me about Kerry and Bush being equally evil. Government itself is a tedious necessity imo. Since I have to live under a government, I'd like the leader to have some sense. Kerry fits the bill. He's worlds better than the egomaniacal moran we have now partly as a result of people's ignorant assumption that there was "no difference" between the chimp and Al Gore.

4. Nader is lying.

He claims that he will take more votes from Bush than Kerry, but aside from the fact that every poll shows otherwise, it's a ludicrous statement on the face of it.

And that means he's either or a complete imbecile (which I doubt) or he's lying. And since it seems apparent that he is lying, what's his real reason for running???
