So, if Bush's "Global War" = WW II, will there be a GI Bill for vets?

Seems if Mr. Bush's analogy were to be taken to it's logical conclusion, there would be an Administration sponsored GI Bill equivalent to the one enacted in the 40's to help returning vets re -enter the mainstream of American life.

(I don't buy his analogy, nor do I buy the occupation in Iraq as anything other than Chapter 1 in the PNAC plan to create an "arc" of US controlled ME states...but I think his shameless use of the D Day anniversary needs to be questioned from every angle).

1. No
The vets and GI"s will be handed a bill (from Halliburton, natch) instead.

2. I sincerely doubt it
In fact all social services are due to be suffer drastic cuts to pay for the war and the tax cut. And, in what has always struck me as a bit strange, they've gone after veterens early on.

3. Sure! 300 bucks to every veteran on discharge!
Unless you are a general or higher, then you get 80 million!
