Who wants a special DU link to Bush Admin scandals w/UPDATES?

It was brought up in previous thread, and I feel it would be so helpful to have a quick reminder of those as talking points so we keep it in people's upper consciousness when they eventually go to the the polling site or mail in ballot.

ALso, just mayyyybbeee....some of this stuff cycles around and around here and other sites like a particle accelerator until it flashes into it's own energy when major media hits on the "big break" and the house of cards comes tumbling down.

You never know which one is going to be "the one".

Any thoughts? Admins? How hard would it be to do? Is it something you've kicked around?

Not sure how a thread would work or if ongoing comment on each issue is needed...but clearly there's a need for a clearinghouse of issues, an information resource, that catlogs problems and tracks progress and resolution so that we don't forget.

As someone said, we all have so many bookmark wes don't use them. And blogs have search engines, but you have to search an issue at a time. An organized list or matrix would be helpful, updated frequently. Don't need a lot of attendant text or explanation with each issue, just a few links.

Someone (Josh Marshall?) with time, connections and resources needs to pursue the idea. Aside from the issues that make headlines at one point or another, there are many many others that escape the attention of most of us. Sealing of presidential documents, executive orders that go un-noticed, classifying or declassifying information for political purposes, use of taxpayer money for campaign trips, favors for political contributors, firing of WH or Pentagon staffers for ideological reasons (remember what a big deal travelgate was for conservatives?), Kwiatkowski writings....so many

I don't think we're talking about gaffs, pratfalls, statements and actions that are within the realm of reason. We want to keep tabs on issues with a shelf life that should be pursued, investigated, researched, tracked.

I think threads links would be too cumbersome. All you'd need is a page with a table of topics list and each could link to its own page of updates, comments, news links, etc.

I'd sure like to see us keep the discipline up. If we have a rigorous attention to the details of these scandals as they unfold and keep placing it front and center, it is bound to have an effect.

BTW. I agree that we should only focus on the actual scandals. Not the petty "Bush looks like a goofball." "Look what he just said today" kind of stuff. I mean the important stuff that is criminal, etc.
