We need a Constitutional Amendment

that will prohibit a sitting President from pardoning a former administration official that has been convicted of wrongdoing. Too much pardoning has been done already, it's like thumbing a nose at the American people.
The act of pardoning a former administration official simply tells anyone in any administration that it makes no difference how many laws they break, they will go free after all is said and done.

trial. Oh wait, we had that but much of the Democratic party, including John Kerry, voted to rescind that right through support of the "Patriot" Act. Something to think about as you consider who deserves your vote this November.

as well as Bush supported the Patriot Act except for one vote, that of Russ Feingold of Wisconsin. He was the only one who voted against it. We don't need a constitutional amendment to give us the rights we did have, we just need to repeal the Patriot Act. We do need an amendment to prohibit sitting presidents from pardoning previous administration convictions though.

6. Presidential pardons have

been used far too many times since Nixon. Why bother doing anything about malfeasance of office, treason, rigging contracts, etc., it just costs the taxpayer a lot of money for nothing. I think an amendment to prohibit administrative pardons is something that should be looked into.
