Bush unravelling....A good quote and something ....................
to be concerned about. This is from a western novel but I think it nails the type of guy shrub is.

"The weak can be terrible when they wish to appear strong, and he was such a man, darkly vengeful and unforgetting. If dying, he would strike out wickedly in all directions to injure all he could to his last breath."
"The Walking Drum"- Louis L'Amour

1. You could probably add the following to complete the profile:
the callous when they pretend to be caring;the amoral when they appear
pious;the conniving when they appear upright;the elite when they appear to be common and the murderous when they appear to be
life sustaining.

3. It's all in line with Sun Tzu's "The Art of War"
When weak, project strength. When strong, project weakness.

I wonder if the same thing could be applied to US foreign policy -- picking on weak nations like Afghanistan and Iraq, while avoiding confrontation with nations that might be able to provide a slightly more equal match....

5. This book cannot be recommended enough
It would be better to refer to it as the Art of Conflict as its advise can be used in matters beyond just military struggle.

10. or as they say on "The Sopranos"
The Art of War by "Sun Ta-Soo"!

Actually the Bushes and the Sopranos have a lot in common these days...like the collapse of both of "their things" (may be wishful thinking in the Bush gang's case, but we can hope).

4. Yes
He is more exposed as a coward every day. For most of us it was obvious all along....but for the mindless followers who are starting to remove the blinders shrub is looking very weak and coddled.

Someone called him a sissy-hawk yesterday (Air America, I think) and it fit him perfectly.

The quote makes me think of a tantruming 2 year old who will destroy all then self destruct when things don't go his way.

6. profound quote....here's another
I justed posted this elsewhere, but it seems approps...

"Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind. And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader and gladly so. How do I know? For this is what I have done. And I am Caesar."

7. I hate to use an over-used DU term, but that's "chilling"
a perfect quote for these murderous cowards.

9. Very dangerous
he still has fangs, and while striking may not be so blind as to not hit where it will do the most harm and cause maximum grief.
