So, Tenet is quitting to spend more time with his family?

HMMM? When the going gets tough, the tough turn chicken.

At a time when bushco is busy telling soldiers they can't retire and their service is being extended, Tenet gets to quit whenever he wants? How about these soldiers all resign "to spend more time with their families?"

How about this: * didn't have to accept Tenet's resignation. He could have said "things are too chaotic now...Asskroft just said there's a 90% chance of terror attacks this summer...sorry, George, you can't leave now. Maybe after the election."

And, if times are so that it's OK for a major figure like Tenet to resign, then shouldn't Rummy, Wolfie, Cheney and the rest also submit their resignations, like, yesterday?

3. He's staying on til mid-July from what I understand. That means

there will be a handover only a few weeks(10-14 days?) before the Dem Convention! I'm sure glad the adults in charge have been all over that systemic disconnect of information sharing between the agencies that led to the 'failure' of intelligence that allowed for the missing of the opportunity to foil the 9-11 plot. Whew!

Let's see June 30 planned fuck up of power handover in Iraq, 2 weeks later the DCI is out and within 2 weeks the Dem convention starts and all this during the Asscroft declared Summer of Terror!
