More to come!

2. "Nothing more, nothing less."
Wonder how that makes his family feel, bald-ass lying like that.

3. Except Tenet actually said
that he was resigning "for the WELL BEING of his family."

What the hell is that the code for?

As someone pointed out earlier, Tenet KNOWS Bushco went after Joe Wilson's wife. I'm sure Tenent really is worried about the well being of his family.

I would be.

4. I might not even have that quote right
Clarke hasn't been on yet...they showed a quick clip of him during the previews saying that, or something close. We'll have another chance to see after commercial.

5. I wonder if there have been threats, or
if he has seen it happen so many times before that they don't even have to threaten. He knows they will do evil things that he may not even be able to imagine.

14. Clarke carries a loaded .44 with him wherever he goes
Tenet would be wise to do the same

6. I like your username. A Zelazny fan perhaps?
"So they play that on their fascist banjos, eh?"

8. Wow...never heard of him!
I was exploring eastern philosophy when I first started messing around in newsgroups on Yahoo, and had to have a screen name. I never imagined I'd still be using it over three years later! It's almost embarrassing, but pretty funny actually. Especially on that very rare occasion when someone actually looks up the meaning.

Thanks for the reference. I bookmarked a couple of sites on Zelazny, and will check them out tomorrow.

9. Read only "Lord of Light" and the rest only after you have read that one.

It is not a "serious" treatment of Eastern philosophy, but a very entertaining one. Politics and war and the "use" of religious/philosophical movements to further one's cause are the theme. The humor is some of the best. The characters are memorable, particularly Mahsamatman ("Sam") and Lord Yama.

7. Interesting....
I thought Clarke made a good point about watching for news stories quoting "White House sources" subtly backstabbing Tenet.

"Then you'll know he was pushed."

10. Sally Quinn: "Bush was really dumb to do this"
The CIA remembers, she said, and they won't take kindly to being used as the scapegoat for Bush's fuckups. WOW! She was pretty adament that this was going to backfire on Bush. I am amazed at widely the "resignation" has been scoffed at already. Bush's credibility is ZERO. No one believes diddly coming out of the Bush WH!

11. Sally Quinn was pretty blunt. And Sally Quinn is DC establishment, IIRC
She is high society in that town. If BushCO has alienated her and her ilk, then I think they are sunk.

13. I must agree. Sally is a "fixture" in the big social scenes of...
D.C.

It doesn't bode well for * if he's getting hit by her.
