When asked how the deficit in California was different than his federal deficit he answered with something like "our economic problems are not this administration's fault, we inherited them from the previous administration". HELLO....you sir inherited a huge surplus which you quickly gave away to your cronies. Don't talk shit to me you little piece of crap. And if his logic follows, Gray Davis must have inherited his problems from Pete Wilson the previous Republican governor. Somebody get me a hammer.

I am a Director of Human Resources for a mid sized company and I can tell you several things:

First, unless they are a sick and twisted individual, nobody enjoys firing or laying somebody off. Its the worst part of my job. It makes me physically sick to know I just ruined somebody's life.

Second, It is very poor form to mail a termination letter. I only do that if I cannot reach the individual and bring them in for a face to face. They at least deserve the courtesy and respect of being told such bad news in person.

I am sorry for you and your husband's loss and I know your very emotional right now, but to paint all HR Directors in the same evil light is the exact same thing Anne Coulter tries to do with all Democrats. Judge each according to his or her actions.

We were notified that there would be a reduction in force via EMAIL which arrived at 430 pm, at which time the sender of the email was probably already out the door and able to avoid any flack. Those affected were ultimately notified by phone, which is better than by letter I guess.
