1. Coulter said that Liberals would not tell the truth about what was
said before the Iraq war even under torture. So Katherine tortured him with nipple clips and electric shocks and then he would repeat one of the lies of the RWingers at a time. I was laughing my head off.

2. just posted about it in the lounge...
I am still gasping for breath after that... by far the funniest bit on radio I've heard in a LOOOOONG time.

The punchline -
"Hey Katherine, wanna go to Stockholm?"
nearly asphyxiated me.

4. He had a freudian slip: Said Amy Goodman would talk about Cheney's
resignation... Katherine corrected him saying "wishing for something doesn't make it true." Darn it, too bad!

5. Michael Moore cited: Barnes criticized children's education
because they didn't know the Iliad and the Odyssey. Then Moore interviewed him and asked him what they were and Barnes didn't know. Now Barnes is denying it. Then Barnes threw one into Al Franken's court to declare Moore a liar.
Now Al Franken says he has tried to contact Barnes and he cannot get ahold of him. So... he guesses Barnes is the liar.
Moore has already rebutted Barnes denial....

Thousands March Against Bush's Rome Visit

Friday June 4, 2004 5:16 PM

By ALESSANDRA RIZZO

Associated Press Writer

ROME (AP) -
Tens of thousands of Italian anti-war demonstrators marched through central Rome amid tight security to protest President Bush's visit, many waving peace banners and calling for the pullout of Italian troops in Iraq.

A small group of hooded protesters clashed with police, but the scuffles appeared to break up after a few minutes. It was unclear if anyone was injured.

Italy deployed about 10,000 police officers to protect Bush and his entourage. Premier Silvio Berlusconi has said he is worried about the possibility of violence, and the U.S. Embassy warned Americans to avoid the crowds.

Most Italians opposed the Iraq war. Berlusconi, however, insisted that the cause was just, and his government sent 3,000 troops to help rebuild Iraq after Saddam Hussein's ouster.

9. House Democrats are urging a special council to investigate Cheney-
Halliburton.
Stock options worth more if Halliburton gets money.
Cheney gets 154000 a year from Halliburton (not precise amount known for sure).
Last year legislation was proposed to force Cheney to terminate his relatioship with Halliburton but it was voted down by Republicans.

10. Cheney said in 5 different speeches that real income and wages are
growing.
The economy institute said that corporate profits are up but wages have decreased. Franken singing: that makes Cheney a Lililiar!!!

11. DoD network carrying Limbaugh because they carry NPR for liberal
viewpoint. Unfortunately, almost all the viewpoints from NPR transmitted on DoD have been republican/conservative viewpoints (I guess it is National Petroleum Radio, or National Propaganda Radio...)

14. Talking about David Brooks: saying about Iraq: we were just
a bunch of cockeyed idealists...
Katherine says that Americans want to believe this because to believe the alternative is pretty scary.
Alternative is the truth: Cheney, Wolfowitz, etc. were frozen in amber with imperial ideas.

Edited on Fri Jun-04-04 11:56 AM by robbedvoter
Who cares what the Kurds think? Iraq is their enemy. I am pretty sure Ann the Man used to say it was Iraqis doing the dancing!

blinking about seeing Americans on the ground since they had been protecting them for so long.
